Red Tower

One of the symbols of Alanya, the Red Tower is a historic structure that fascinates every visitor. Built in the 13th century by Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad, this tower is one of the most significant representations of Alanya's historical and cultural heritage. The Red Tower gets its name from its exterior, made of red bricks, which is its most striking feature.

As part of the city’s defensive walls extending towards the sea, the tower played a crucial role in Alanya’s defense. Standing 33 meters tall, it offers a panoramic view of the city and the harbor, making it a prominent landmark visible from various parts of Alanya. Inside the Red Tower, the Ethnography Museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore the rich culture and history of the region.

Over time, the Red Tower has undergone several restorations, and today it remains a major point of interest for tourists. It is a must-visit site for anyone looking to discover the historical and cultural treasures of Alanya.
